Modular OB-GYN Operating Room Project
1. Project Overview
- During the pandemic, Nankai University urgently needed two new obstetrics and gynecology operating rooms.
- Because the schedule was extremely tight and hospital standards were strict, the general contractor contacted us for a solution that could provide fast installation and reliable quality.
2. Project Requirements
- The project required both speed and high-quality construction. Main requirements included:
- Fast on-site installation to shorten the project timeline
- Compliance with hospital cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Standardized hospital color schemes and flush-mounted structures
- Efficient use of space with a practical layout
- Reduced contamination risks and material waste
- The original construction period was only one month, creating significant pressure on production and installation.
3. Our Solution
- To meet the tight deadline, we adopted a modular operating room solution.
- Our project manager quickly visited the site to take measurements and coordinate project details. Based on the site conditions, all modules were designed with standardized hospital colors and flush-mounted structures to meet hygiene requirements.
- As a result, the entire project was completed in just 20 days, ahead of schedule. The general contractor was highly satisfied with the final result.
FAQs
What makes your OB/GYN operating room different from traditional OB/GYN operating rooms?
Our OB/GYN operating rooms are designed to support both maternal surgery and neonatal care, requiring enhanced infection control, privacy protection, and integrated newborn resuscitation capabilities.
How does your modular operating room improve safety for mothers and newborns?
Our modular systems ensure controlled environments with optimized airflow, clean zoning, and integrated medical systems, reducing infection risks and enabling faster response during delivery or surgery.
How does the design reduce patient anxiety?
Warm color schemes, reduced noise, and less clinical visual elements create a more calming environment for patients.
How does your modular OB/GYN operating room improve infection control?
Our OB/GYN ORs use seamless antibacterial wall panels, optimized airflow systems, and strict zoning (clean, semi-clean, contaminated) to minimize cross-contamination risks.
How is patient privacy protected in your OB/GYN operating rooms?
Through modular partitions, independent changing areas, and optimized patient transfer routes to minimize exposure.
What role does airflow play in OB/GYN operating rooms?
Controlled airflow systems help maintain a sterile environment by directing clean air over critical zones and removing contaminants efficiently.
Can your OB/GYN operating room support both cesarean and gynecological procedures?
Yes, the layout and equipment can be customized to support both cesarean sections and various gynecological surgeries within the same space.
Is neonatal care integrated into your OB/GYN operating room design?
Dedicated space and infrastructure for neonatal resuscitation and immediate care are integrated into the design.
